"Tim is one of a very few number of people in England making stemware or functional tableware in glass completely by hand. From their workshop in Nancledra, near Penzance, Tim and Carole work with a special high grade glass; the materials come from Sweden and the finished quality is very similar to lead crystal, with a brightness and clarity developed to imitate 24% lead glass.

Each item carries colour in rims or in the body of the work, and the light play with the clear glass sections is subtly enhanced by the shaping of the insides of the glasses to produce an elegant, clean beauty with the delight of colour to enhance the work."

Tim Casey completed an Arts Foundation Course at Croydon College of Art and Design in 1979.

He gained his BA (Hons) in Ceramics from Bristol Polytechnic in 1983.

He then went on to study glass making techniques at Brierley Hill College from 1986-87

1990 he set up his own glass studio on the Isle of Sark, Channel Islands. Later he moved to the UK.

All of Tim and Carole Casey's work is mouth blown and hand finished.
